Believe it or not, Jamie Dornan isn’t all that familiar with sex toys.
“The funny thing is, pretty much everything you find in the red room, you’ve used a version of, but not for the same effect,” the Fifty Shades Darker actor, 34, explains on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday. “Like, it’s more for riding a horse or something. Or doing up a bag that’s particularly full and if you’re using a buckle. That kind of thing. You have the skillset and you kind of surprise yourself. Most of it—I have to admit—I was very green about all that stuff.”
Dornan didn’t take any of the toys home to Amelia Warner, his wife of three years, after production ended. “I don’t think she wants a used prop,” he says with a laugh. And if she’s into BDSM, he tells Ellen DeGeneres, “She hasn’t told me, so I’m in the dark.”
Universal Pictures’ Fifty Shades Darker (in theaters Feb. 10) picks up less than a week after the events of the 2015 blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey. “Christian, he can’t foresee his life without Ana [Dakota Johnson], and he’s going to do anything to get her back. She wants him to make massive changes, because obviously, he has a few flaws,” Dornan says of his character. “There are some things about the way he treats her that she really isn’t that into. He makes big sacrifices for her and compromises in the second movie, because he just knows he needs her.”
The brooding billionaire businessman shows his “softer side” while wooing Ana. “We see him smile a lot more in the second movie. There are a few lighter moments. Dakota, in the first movie, she gets all the gags—and I’m pretty serious,” he says. “It’s a bit more evenly spread.”
At one point, DeGeneres asks Dornan if he was required to wax his body before stripping on camera, as tWitch did for Magic Mike XXL. “I’m not a particularly hirsute person, really,” the blushing actor says. “I know I have a very hirsute face, but I’m not very hairy. I’m not like a—”
“You’re not like a Ken doll,” DeGeneres says. “I don’t know what you were going to say.
“That’s better than what I was thinking up in my head,” he says. “I don’t think it’s for daytime.”
Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed were filmed back-to-back, with the third installment in the trilogy hitting theaters on Feb. 9, 2018. DeGeneres devises an idea for a fourth film and asks Dornan to act out a scene for her spoof, Fifty Shades Darkest.
As a wigged Dornan relaxes in bed, DeGeneres enters the room with a breast plate and a low-cut top. “I assume you like a girl in a uniform,” she says. With his eyes on her cleavage, Dornan replies, “The moment I walked into Staples, I just knew I had to have you in my life.”
“Well, I brought toys,” DeGeneres says.
As she repeatedly clamps down on her staple remover, Dornan says, “I’m not really into that. I don’t think anybody is into that.” Feeling “silly,” DeGeneres pulls out her next makeshift sex toy: a stapler. She then tapes his hands to the headboard and pulls out a pair of scissors. “That’s a $2,000 tie!” Dornan protests. As DeGeneres snips away, the TV host jokes, “Now it’s half off!”
DeGeneres has one more thing in her Staples bag—something that makes Dornan squirm.

Can you feeling it coming? The Weeknd and Daft Punk lead a stellar lineup of performers added to the Grammy Awards 2017, a bill which now also features a collaboration of R&B star Alicia Keys with newcomer Maren Morris.
The Recording Academy also announced singer-rapper-musician Anderson .Paak will join hip-hop veterans A Tribe Called Quest and rock legend Dave Grohl on stage at this year’s ceremony, which takes place Feb. 12 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The latest wave of performers represents a whole lot of precious metal. Forget silverware, think platinum records and Grammys gold. Grohl, the Foo Fighters frontman and a Hall of Famer with Nirvana, has collected 15 Grammys across his career. Keys also has 15 Grammys. Daft Punk and the Weeknd, who teamed up on “I Feel It Coming” and the title track from the Canadian artist’s latest album Starboy, have eight Grammys between them (six for Daft Punk, two for The Weeknd).
The Late Late Show leader James Corden will host the 59th annual Grammy Awards, which is produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures for The Recording Academy and will be beamed live on the CBS Television Network.
U.K.-based bookmakers William Hill have made Bond actor Ben Whishaw the favorite to replace Peter Capaldi in the long-running science fiction show Doctor Who. The company is offering odds of 6/1 that the Skyfall star will become the next Doctor, a two-hearted alien who periodically changes his physical form.
Capaldi announced Monday that he would leave the show later this year. BBC America has confirmed that the Doctor’s “regeneration” would occur on the special Christmas episode.
Whishaw plays the character of armaments expert Q in the Bond franchise. His other credits include Cloud Atlas, the Oscar-nominated The Lobster, and voicing the role of the titular bear in 2014’s Paddington, which featured Capaldi in its cast.
As for other possible candidates to replace the Scottish actor, William Hill is offering odds on comic actor Richard Ayoade (8/1), Whishaw’s fellow Bond franchise veteran Rory Kinnear (8/1), and Harry Potter grad Rupert Grint (8/1).
The company is also allowing gamblers to bet on the possibility that new showrunner Chris Chibnall might break with tradition and cast an actress in the role, offering odds of 6/1 that the next Doctor will be played by a woman and odds of 20/1 odds on Olivia Colman and Billie Piper, the latter of whom played the Doctor’s “companion” when the show returned after a lengthy hiatus in 2005.
The new season of Doctor Who premieres on BBC America on April 15.

Hey guys! We’re back where we left off with Corinne and Taylor confronting one another at the rose ceremony. To back up a little, let me just state the obvious: This is an environment that is filled with all personality types, so of course it is unrealistic that everyone will get along. It’s clear when watching Corinne and Taylor, that just happens to be the case.
At the time, I never knew their issues with one another was this intense, but of course I was aware of tension. I knew that Corinne’s assertiveness and occasional napping had rubbed some of the other women the wrong way. I was also aware that Taylor is a person who will confidently state her opinion, personal and professional.
Up until this point, Corinne had not wasted any of her energy focusing on how the other women were approaching this environment — while Taylor had seemed to critique Corinne’s every move determining whether Corinne had a right to be here. I didn’t know much at the time, but I did know that with two polarizing personalities, sometimes more comes to the surface if it’s all there right in front of you. While yes, I had questions about these women, I was still very intrigued by them.
Corinne is a woman full of life, and as she states herself, color. I love how assertive she is, and I admire the confidence that she has even under pressure. She never seems to lose sight of who she is. Taylor is a woman who is undeniably impressive. It’s attractive how successful and driven she is in her career, all of which she worked hard for. It’s interesting, for a woman who carries herself like Taylor, to allow herself to open up emotionally. And like Corinne, she is a woman who stands by who she is and what she wants in life. I decided then that a two-on-one date would be the best to navigate these relationships.
Wisconsin had been amazing to share with these women, but it was time to keep moving. Leaving a place I still call home was bittersweet, but I was pretty excited to be heading somewhere I’d never been before: New Orleans. The second I reached New Orleans it felt unlike any other city I’ve ever visited. The unique culture of this beautiful and lively city hits you all at once. The architecture, food, music and people — all full of life. I was excited to kick things off right away and explore this city.
Choosing Rachel for my one-on-one this week was easy. From the very first night we’d had an instant connection and chemistry. Over the past few weeks I felt like we had built something special and this was a date that I felt could really push our relationship forward. This day was pretty much all about exploring New Orleans together, and it felt like something we would do as a couple outside of this world. Of course, helicopters and yachts are romantic and unbelievable experiences — but there is something about just walking through a city with no real plan that makes a bond so much greater. It was also pretty cool that Rachel had just been to New Orleans, so she was giving me the inside scoop on these new experiences for me.
From eating the most delicious beignets to dancing in the streets and listening to some amazing live music, my date with Rachel couldn’t have been more fun. I also have to admit that those beignets were highly addicting. They should really warn you because I didn’t play it cool at all. I think I may have eaten five or six, I can’t lie. But OMG were they worth it. Thinking about it now, I could probably toss back another dozen.
Also, what you guys didn’t see was the show we stopped into. Lolo, is this really cool artist that has an unbelievable voice and stage presence. Not to brag, but I think Rachel and I tore up that dance floor and Lolo loved us! But with Rachel on my arm, who wouldn’t? Am I right? But honestly, I ended up downloading a bunch of Lolo’s music later that day and playing it for Rachel that night as a surprise.
As yummy as the treats were — and Lolo was also really cool, I have to say that the second line was by far the coolest part of our day. What a welcoming feeling, to have a city open their arms to anybody in such a joyous way. This tradition is something that I’d never seen in any city in my life. The music, the energy and the sense of community was intoxicating. I remember feeling such a high this day and reflecting on my decision to give her the first impression rose the night we met. I was reminded of how confident I felt about her then, but on this day, also so confident in what was to come.
The energy of our day carried into the evening. The location where we had dinner was so cool, I wish you guys could have seen more of it. This place is the home to hundreds of Mardi Gras floats that range from traditional to absolute insane. We started the evening off running around like kids playing hide and seek, and stealing a few kisses in private away from the eyes of the floats.
It was really moving when Rachel opened up about the reason she had just visited New Orleans not that long ago. It is tragic to lose someone close, but having that reminder to take advantage of every opportunity that life gives you. Rachel is someone who in the past, had expressed how it was hard for her to open up, but that evening we connected more than we ever had before. I couldn’t help but feel this desire to let Rachel know just how excited I was about our relationship — I was crazy about her! Moments like this can be few and far between and I didn’t want to waste the momentum that we had.
Rachel has a way of allowing herself to be vulnerable without losing confidence or questioning herself. By the time our evening ended, I had almost forgotten that there was a rose on the table, but there was no doubt that I was giving it to her, and there was no doubt that I was starting to feel like this relationship had a big future.

New Orleans Group Date
When you’re on the road it can feel like your routine is a little off. So, the morning before the group date, I challenged Chris Harrison to a run. We don’t actually see each other that much during filming, so it’s nice when we can find a quiet moment to catch up. We thought it would be more fun to run through the city than the gym. I mean it was a beautiful day and New Orleans is amazing, so why wouldn’t we want to explore? Four or so miles later, I think we were both ready to drop dead… not so much because we weren’t used to running a few miles a day, but we ended up getting a little lost. We had to backtrack and it ended up being a little more of a fiasco than expected. But all in all, I was able to get my workout in and see a little more of the city then I had anticipated!
For the group date, we drove outside the city to one of the most beautiful estates in Louisiana. This was a date I’d been looking forward to for a while. Not only was I excited to see the women who I hadn’t seen since Wisconsin, but I absolutely love history. Knowing how much history was connected to this place, I was excited to explore. Now, I wouldn’t exactly file ghost history in with the usual historical interests of mine, but this place was something else. I’m not the most superstitious person, but I thought it was be fun to do some ghost hunting. I figured if there was ever a place to encounter ghost activity, it would be here.
This place was beautiful, but I have to be honest, it really did get creepy once the sun set. There was some crazy inexplicable stuff happening that night! I mean, come on Jasmine, you should never have touched the hat or the statue! But actually … Jasmine, much like me, went into the evening not quite believing in Mae’s ghost, but I think I can speak for both of us and say that by the time we left, we certainly had a different opinion. I really loved how seriously Vanessa and Jaimi took the evening. Jaimi was nothing but courteous regarding the spirits around her and I respected that. Whereas Vanessa was afraid, ok no, lets be real — terrified, but still took the evening in stride and ended up finding peace with the spirits and the experience enjoyable. This evening could have been a total disaster, but it was like a fun spooky night at summer camp and we all had a blast.
One thing I think that we’ve all seriously enjoyed was finding out that Alexis is terrified of Nicolas Cage, the actor. Alexis had admitted this fear the week before in Wisconsin. So naturally, I immediately went on Amazon and ordered a Nicholas Cage mask. You guys have no idea how much I had looked forward to this moment. Knowing this spooky date was coming up it was the PERFECT time to strike, but I can’t believe when I went to surprise her she felt it coming! It was still totally hilarious, and I think that I may have a small part of helping reduce this fear of hers.
Even though there was a lot of scary things happening that evening, I was able to still get quality time with the women. It had been a week since my date with Danielle L. and it was really great to sit down with her and reconnect. I had such an amazing day with her in Wisconsin, and it was important to me that we still had that spark. After such a great date, I decided to give the rose to Danielle M. Getting the first one-on-one is a great feeling at the time, but it can also be hard as weeks pass. But Danielle was someone I had already connected with, and that evening I had felt like we were still right where we were that first date. I wanted to make sure she knew I still felt that way and was confident in us.

The Dreaded Two-on-One
Now, what I know you guys have all been waiting for ….
Coming off last week, I knew tensions were boiling over between Corinne and Taylor. And as I said before, sometimes taking two polarizing personalities can help navigate my feelings for each person. A two-on-one can be awkward — actually, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be. But I thought it would be the best way to figure out which relationship had potential and which one would be best to say goodbye to.
My relationship with Taylor and Corinne at this point, while different, were probably equal in terms of how far we had progressed. There were things about both women that intrigued me, but also plenty I still had questions about. I had never been to the bayou before, but man, how fitting was it for this date.
I reminded myself going into this date that there are two sides to every story. When Corinne shared her side of the story with me about Taylor, I was shocked. I wasn’t going to fully ingest the information until I spoke with Taylor, but it was still disappointing to hear. Once I sat with Taylor, it became more clear what the issues were about.
When you strip it down, it became clear that Taylor believed Corinne lacked the emotional maturity to get married or really to be dating me at all. Listening to Taylor talk, it became obvious to me that Taylor didn’t realize that she was guilty of the same thing she saw in Corinne. Like Corinne said, Taylor was telling Corinne that she didn’t call her stupid while implying that she was stupid. You can say a lot of things to someone while being pretty clear between the lines.
From my point of view, Taylor either wasn’t self-aware enough to understand how she was coming across or she thought that I wouldn’t notice. Either way, it just felt like at this point that Taylor was too fixated on proving to me that Corinne wasn’t right for me rather than focusing on our relationship. Giving Corinne the rose had just as much to do with saying goodbye to Taylor as it was to validate my relationship with Corinne. After a pretty intense day, I was looking forward to some one-on-one time with Corinne.
I was totally caught off guard when Taylor showed up at dinner to interrupt Corinne and me. What was she there for? Did she want to come back? Did she have more to say to Corinne? Was there something else I didn’t know? A million questions flooded my brain. Saying goodbye is never easy, but having someone come back unexpectedly is no cake walk either. Taylor certainly isn’t saying goodbye without a fight. I think you’ll be interested in what Taylor has to say and how I take it. But that is just the beginning.
Next week the drama heats up as the women and I travel to St. Thomas. There I’m faced with shocking truths and unexpected goodbyes. I find myself questioning, can this journey lead to a happy conclusion? Next week you’ll see how it all goes down.

The Bachelor airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
Moonlight, the Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated coming-of-age film about a gay youth, has just one rival, Star Trek Beyond, in its category in the annual GLAAD Media Award nominations.
The nominations, announced Tuesday, show progress and obstacles in terms of fair, bold and consequential depictions of LGBTQ people in the media, tracked by GLAAD, the leading media advocacy organization for that community.
On the one hand, the nominations show that for the first time in more than a decade, a popular category — outstanding film in wide release — has just two nominees, reflecting the need for more progress in that area, GLAAD says. In years past, there were at least five nominees.
Moonlight has received rave reviews and eight Oscar nominations, including for best picture, director, supporting actors and music. Star Trek Beyond, the latest in the rebooted franchise, shows the Sulu character as gay and with a partner.
But two other categories, outstanding music artist and outstanding comic book, were expanded from five nominees to 10 nominees each, reflecting increased inclusion in those media.
And the GLAAD nominations suggest TV has done a better job of bringing gay and transgender stories to audiences: There are 10 nominees each in the TV comedy and drama series categories.
“At a time when progress is at a critical juncture, it is imperative that Hollywood tell more LGBTQ stories that reflect the community’s rich diversity, and build understanding that brings all communities closer together,” said GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis in a statement. “This year’s nominees have created images and storylines that challenge misconceptions and broaden understanding, accelerating acceptance and equality for LGBTQ people across the globe.”
GLAAD announced 115 nominees in 21 English-language categories and 41 Spanish-language nominees in 11 categories. In the English-language categories, cable networks earned 31 nominations (HBO led with five), and broadcast networks garnered 17 nominations (ABC led with six). Streaming services received seven nominations (Netflix led with four).
Highlights of the nominations include:
Outstanding comedy series nominees included favorites such as Amazon’s Transparent, nominated for a third time, and Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, nominated for a second time.
Outstanding drama series included nominations for first-timers such as Netflix’ The OA and favorites such as BBC America’s Orphan Black and ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy.
Outstanding TV movie or limited series included BBC America’s moody London Spy and Fox’s wacky Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again.
Media interest in transgender stories remains strong, GLAAD said. All of the nominees in the outstanding reality program category include transgender people. Other nominees featuring transgender people include: Transparent, Shameless, The Fosters, The OA, Modern Family; plus Laura Jane Grace and her band Against Me! who are nominated for their album Shape Shift With Me.
The GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will be held in Los Angeles on April 1, 2017, and in New York on May 6.
Also, Comcast’s Xfinity LGBTQ Film & TV Collection has announced more than 100 titles of GLAAD Media Awards-related content will be available for viewing on television, web and mobile devices.

Oprah Winfrey has been named a ‘special contributor’ to CBS News’ ’60 Minutes.’ Winfrey will bring occasional reports to the newsmagazine starting this fall, when it begins its 50th season on the air.
Oprah Winfrey will join 60 Minutes this fall in what will be the CBS News show’s 50th season.
The media mogul, actress and longtime daytime talk show host will become a special contributor to the Sunday night news program. Winfrey worked with CBS recently on a TV special that aired last month in which then-First Lady Michelle Obama gave her last major interview to Winfrey.
“I’ve been a big admirer of 60 Minutes since my days as a young reporter,” said Winfrey in a statement. “I’m so excited and proud to join forces with this historic news program, which for me represents the bastion of journalistic storytelling. At a time when people are so divided, my intention is to bring relevant insight and perspective, to look at what separates us, and help facilitate real conversations between people from different backgrounds.”
Winfrey founded cable TV’s OWN Network — a joint venture with Discovery Communications and her Harpo Inc., production company — in 2011, the same year she signed off after 25 years of hosting The Oprah Winfrey Show.
She remains active in film and TV serving as producer of Oscar Best Picture-nominee Selma and executive producer of OWN series such as Greenleaf and Queen Sugar., as well as documentaries including Oprah’s Master Class: Civil Rights Special. And Winfrey will appear in next year’s A Wrinkle in Time, a Disney film directed by Selma director Ava DuVernay.
And she recently landed a best-selling cookbookFood, Health and Happiness.
“There is only one Oprah Winfrey,” said 60 Minutes Executive Producer Jeff Fager in a statement. “She has achieved excellence in everything she has touched. Her body of work is extraordinary, including thousands of interviews with people from all walks of life. She is a remarkable and talented woman with a level of integrity that sets her apart and makes her a perfect fit for 60 Minutes. I am thrilled that she will be bringing her unique and powerful voice to our broadcast.”

Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi has announced that his upcoming third season on the long-running time-travel series will also be his final one.
“The big thing about it for me is that it will be my last,” the Scottish actor said on BBC Radio 2 earlier on Monday. “This will be the end for me. I feel sad. I love Doctor Who. It’s a fantastic program to work on and it’s been a huge pleasure to work with a family, really. I can’t praise the people I’ve worked with more highly. But I’ve always been somebody that did a lot of different things. I’ve never done one job for three years. This is the first time I’ve done this and I feel that it’s time for me to move on to different challenges.”
Capaldi said that he had been asked to stay on and continue in the role after the end of his current contract but declined to do so. “I just thought, I love this, but I don’t know how long I can do it and give it my best,” he said. “And if I’m not giving it my best, I don’t want to do it. I want to move on to other challenges.”
Capaldi revealed that he was still filming the current series and had yet to shoot the scene in which his Doctor — a two-hearted alien from the fictional planet of Gallifrey — would begin the process of “regenerating” into one played by another. He also said that the last time fans would see him as the Doctor would be “Christmas ’17,” which suggests that a new Doctor will be introduced during this year’s special Christmas episode.
Speaking about the upcoming season Capaldi added, “We’re doing epic stuff! I’m still not done yet.” The new season of Doctor Who, the first to costar Pearl Mackie as the Doctor’s new “companion” Bill, is set to premiere this spring.
Affleck is still on board to play the superhero, but sources close to the talent said Affleck and Warner Bros., after discussing how to best make the film possible, came to the decision together.
“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions,” Affleck said in a statement. “Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”
Sources say this decision was solely made based on what’s best for the project and had nothing to do with the recent disappointment of Affleck’s recent directing job “Live by Night.”
Affleck and Warner Bros. will now begin searching for a new director. Sources say there is a shortlist and that “War for the Planet of the Apes” helmer Matt Reeves is among those on the list.
“Warner Bros. fully supports Ben Affleck’s decision and remains committed to working with him to bring a standalone Batman picture to life,” the studio said a statement.
Affleck has completed work as the Caped Crusader in “Justice League,” which opens Nov. 17, and he was preparing to go into prep on the solo “Batman” movie this summer. Affleck co-wrote the script with Geoff Johns.
There had been rumblings that Affleck was considering not directing the film during the past month, but in recent weeks sources say the multi-hyphenate came to the decision it was best to let the directing job go and focus on playing the part.
He first appeared as the superhero in last year’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
